An avid advocate of music with multicultural influences, the foundation’s mission is to promote diversity, equity and inclusion by presenting music from different parts of the world with interesting mixtures of styles. Activities include performing music by underrepresented composers, commissioning new music with multicultural influences, presenting at major music conferences, and organizing events that create cultural exchange opportunities, such as workshops, festivals and masterclasses.The foundation is recognized and supported by National Endowment for the Arts, Illinois Arts Council Agency, National Music Teachers Association, College Music Society and more.
